My Goals For July || 2018

Hello people of the internet! Can you believe we're officially half way through 2018?! This year has flown by in the blink of an eye. Six months ago I set myself some goals for the whole year. And, around this time I try to reflect on that and set myself some goals. They aren't necessarily for the rest of the year. I'd love if some of them carried over and became habits!

1. Cook More - Dan and I have been stuck in such a rut when it comes to cooking. For the past few months, we either stick on some frozen stuff or we order a takeaway. I think it's either Pinterest or just my general hatred of eating the same things all the time. But, I finally want to start cooking more! There are so many recipes that I'm dying to try lately. And, I just miss the ritual of cooking. It's so relaxing, creative, and satisfying!

2. Finish The Desk - In November last year, I bought a desk for €20 off of Facebook. It's a great desk and I love it to bits. I always had plans to paint it. And, I kept telling myself I'd do it when it was warmer. Well, It's July now and I've only managed to paint the drawer, haha! Since we've been having amazing weather I'm determined to finish painting my desk so it's finally the way I wished it was!

3. Spend Time With My Friends - Okay, so I hate to admit this but I'm a horrible friend. I'm a flake. And, a lot of that comes from being extremely introverted. I make plans and then when it comes to following through I cancel. It's a problem. I know. But, since it's summer I really want to take advantage of the great weather and spend as much time with my friends as possible!

4. Cut Out Meat & Dairy - At the start of the year, I told myself I wanted to essentially be vegan by 2019. I have done a terrible job at making that a reality. (See goal #1) Just for my own sake, I'm going to really try to cut back on eating meat and dairy when possible. I already never drink milk and meat isn't my favourite thing. So, it should get easier the more I try.

Some of my smaller goals are: keep my bullet journal updated, try out some new makeup looks, and to draw more. Basically, I just need to try to be more creative this month!

  1. Cooking can be so hard when you're working. I really recommend the Joe Wicks 15 minute meal cook book, really tasty food and quick to make. Good luck with your July goals lovely

  2. I really gotta get on the "cook more" thing as well this month. It's soooo hard to do when things get crazy, isn't it? Good luck with your goals for the month!

  3. Great goals! Cooking more is going to be one of my goals too as we live on takeaways and it's so not good for us. Good luck :) x www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x
