Hello people of the internet! Should you be considering a visit to the USA, the question in your mind is probably this one…
Which part of the USA is right for me?
With 50 states to choose from and multiple towns and cities within each one, you are never going to see them all, even on an extended vacation. Still, to give you some ideas of where you might visit, consider the following.
New York City
NYC is the tourist capital of the USA, with many of the iconic landmarks you are bound to have seen on postcards or in the movies. If you're a tourist at heart, keen to fill your holiday scrapbook with photos of as many popular sights as possible, then you have the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge and more to aim your cameras at. This is also the place to visit if you're into arts and culture, with such famous locations as the Guggenheim Museum for art lovers, and the famed Broadway theatres for those looking to catch a show.
Then there's the quiet retreat of Central Park, the electric atmosphere of New York's street life, and a thriving shopping and restaurant scene for foodies and shoppers. New York has something for everybody, and is often the #1 destination for many.
Miami
Miami is for those people who prefer a day at the beach to the hustle and bustle of an urban city. That's not to say there isn't anything here for city lovers; Miami is famed for its vintage shopping and top high-street retailers. But for most people, Miami is is famous for its many beaches, perfect for those who want to spend time relaxing under the sun, surfing on the waves, or scuba-diving beneath the ocean depths. There are loads of beaches to explore, whether you walk along the coastline on foot or rent a boat in Miami to see more of what the city has to offer. And if you want more than a beach holiday, fear not. If you want a taste of the nightlife, there are nightclubs aplenty on South Beach, and hipster hangouts in Downtown Miami, most with a Latin and Cuban beat. Nature lovers will want to visit the subtropical paradise of the Everglades - watch out for the crocodiles - and foodies will want to explore the Latin American cuisine of the city's many diners. In short, you won't be disappointed with what Miami has to offer you.
Orlando
For the young and the young at heart, Orlando offers an endless supply of fun and adventure, especially for theme park lovers. Shake hands with Mickey Mouse at Disney World, experience the magic of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, heat up your holiday at the newly-opened Volcano Bay, or cool down at one of the many water parks. If you have kids, or if you are a big kid yourself, then there are loads of attractions to take your fancy. But that's not all. Food lovers will be in seventh heaven, as Orlando has often ranked as one of the best foodie cities in the country. There are some fantastic shopping malls. You have the nearby waterways and swamplands to discover. And because Orlando is situated near Miami (you are an hours flight away), you can visit the best of both worlds on your vacation.
