Hello people of the internet! Ever since my city turned on their Christmas lights last Friday I've been in an extreme holiday mood! Now usually, I'm not allowed to even speak of Christmas until we're all going into our little food comas on thanksgiving. This year seems different though. I think it may have started when we moved into our current house in July. The second I saw our living room my head just filled with every possible Christmas decorating idea that I had seen online in the past year. I've honestly been waiting to put everything up since then! I recently came across The Christmas Tag on AmyRutter's blog and wanted to participate. Then, it took me a lifetime to make the header for this post. (I ended up LOVING it and I think I might be making a similar pattern for my new background!) Anyways, here is the Christmas tag!
What is your favourite Christmas movie/s: My all time favorite Christmas movie is The Santa Clause! I watch it every single year and it still makes me as happy as it did the first time I watched it!
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning: My family has ALWAYS opened them on Christmas morning. I never understood why people opened their presents the night before! I feel like it would take away from the day.
Do you have a favourite Christmas memory: Probably a couple years back when we all sat in the room with our first proper fire place going and watched dvds and eating too much.
Favourite festive food: My mom makes the most amazing cookies and she only ever makes them around Christmas. They're called Nutmeg Logs and the recipe is a closely guarded family secret!
Favourite Christmas gift: This is so hard to pick! I love everything I get equally because people put time and thought into it.
Favourite Christmas scent: Vanilla or just cookies. I'm allergic to cinnamon so I think I'm naturally detoured from it.
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions: Well, I know I said that we don't open presents on Christmas Eve but we kind of open one. We get pj's, have hot chocolate (with too much whipped cream), and watch Christmas movies in front of the fire! Oh, and Dan begs me to let him open his presents early!
What tops your tree: When I used to live in America we used to top it every year with this really pretty angel but I think we left her in storage. For the first couple of years after we moved here we topped it with a star and then we (oddly enough) started to top it with a David Tennant action figure!
As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received: I literally asked for a fridge one year. Like a full size kitchen fridge for my room.. What was I thinking...
What’s the best part about Christmas for you: My favorite part of Christmas is just that feeling. Like, when you hear Christmas music or watch your favorite holiday movie. You see all the decorations up and you just sit down with a warm cup of something and say "Yeah, it feels like Christmas now!"
I was going to tag people to do this and then I realized that I wasn't sure who celebrated Christmas or not. So, if you would like to take part in this: please leave the link to your post below so I can read all of them!
