Hello people of the internet! I've decided to start a little unofficial series on here called "Mask Mondays". The mask I'll be reviewing this week is one that was kindly sent out to me from The Body Shop. Recently, The Body Shop released five new face masks. I was lucky enough to have the *British Rose Fresh Plumping mask sent to me for this review! This product retails for €25.00 and promises to help hydrate your skin!
- 100% Vegan
- Gel Mask
- Moisturises, tones, and soothes skin
- Made with no parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil
- Infused with real rose petals, rosehip oil, and aloe vera
I decided to have a little spa day in order to try this out. Once you open the jar you will immediately notice it's beautiful scent. I'm not usually a fan of anything rose scented. Most of the time I find it pretty overpowering. This was perfect, though. I would like to think that's because it has real rose petals and rosehip oil. The mask applied really well. It wasn't hard to get even coverage. I left it on for about 10 minutes.
Now, most of my skin felt great and moisturised. Some of my skin started to show signs of a breakout pretty much immediately. I have oily skin and I think that might have been the problem. Unfortunately, I was left with a few under the skin spots. Like, the kind that never actually gets a head on it. I was really hoping the mask wouldn't have that effect because my skin usually only has a reaction like that to heavy cream based products.
Honestly, I would still use this mask. I would probably use it for multi-masking. If you don't know what that is, it's basically using different types of face masks on different areas of your face. I would use this one for any areas of my face needing an extra dose of hydration! If you have oily skin just use this product with caution!
