Hot Chocolate Christmas Bark || Blogmas

Hello people of the internet! One of my favorite things about the holidays is the surplus of sweet treats. There is one Christmas snack I was dying to try this year, chocolate bark! If you're wondering what the hell I'm talking about... Chocolate bark is basically a sheet of chocolate with tons of toppings. This year I finally decided to take the plunge and make a hot chocolate inspired bark!

What I Used

2 - 150g bars of Milk Chocolate
1 - 160g bag of White Chocolate melts
1 - Bag of Green Sprinkles
1 - pack of Peppermint candies
1 - pack of mini marshmallows
1 - row of Oreos

How I Did It

1. Start to melt down your chocolate either in a microwave or using the double boiler method. Try to make sure you melt down your white chocolate maybe two minutes after you start melting down your milk chocolate.

2. While you're waiting for them to melt, prepare your toppings. I blended up some of the peppermint candies and crushed my Oreos.

3. Cover a flat baking tray with greaseproof paper.

4. Once your dark chocolate is fully melted, pour it evenly onto the baking tray. Use a spatula to even it out.

5. Slowly start drizzling your white chocolate over the milk chocolate in stripes. Try to keep a little bit of white chocolate set aside! Take a knife and slowly drag it through the white chocolate stripes to create a marble effect.

6. While your chocolate is still runny, sprinkle your toppings. I started with the Oreo. Then I placed the marshmallows in the bigger gaps.

7. Last but not least, drizzle your remaining white chocolate over your creation. Don't forget to add your peppermint and sprinkles too!

I'm not evening joking, this whole process only took about 20 minutes. It's insanely easy and makes a terrific homemade gift during the holiday season. All you do to serve it us is break it up into chunks.

  1. I made peppermint bark last year for the first time ever and made up little goodie bags to go at each person's dinner table seat. They went down a treat! I can't wait to make it again this year, got everything ready just not had the time.

  8. Oh my god YES. I love chocolate bark, but my gf recently brought home some peppermint bark from America and now everything in my brain is like YES CHOCOLATE BARK PLEASE. I'd really like to make one like this with all sorts of goodness on it but I probably won't have time before the New Year. January resolution though hahahaha.
