Goals for 2015

Monday, December 29, 2014

Hello people of the internet! This year flew by guys. I can't believe it's almost over but, I'm also quite excited to see it go. Last night I spent an hour or two going over my own goals for 2015. Honestly, I want to change a lot of things in my life. I don't see any reason why I can't.  I'm done with making promises to myself and not following through.

Be healthy
Physically and mentally

This year I decided to do something different. Most people will have "Lose Weight" at the top of their resolution list. I am usually one of those people. I get discouraged so easily though. When I don't see progress I want to give up. I've decided to stop focusing on the weight part. Instead, I'll be focusing on the health part. I plan on eating better, getting more sleep, drinking more water, and being more physical. All of these things are so easy to do. I feel like when you make the soul purpose of losing weight it turns into a chore. I find things like this easier to look at when I know that I'll constantly be noticing benefits in the short and long term.
For me, this ties into the metal health side of things. I get discouraged and upset quite easily if I feel like I'm not meeting goals that I've set for myself. Like, crying alone in my room after deciding that a cheat meal I had three hours prior ruined everything I had worked for. #TrueStory. I'm too hard on myself. 2015 will be a year of happiness and positivity. I deserve to treat myself like the awesome princess person that I am.

Save Money

Not going to lie, I'm totally one to overspend. Then, I complain about not having any money. In 2015 I have a plan. I'm going to save €10 a week. It doesn't seem like much but when you realize 52x10=€520 it seems like a lot more. I want to hopefully go to America in 2016 and that alone could buy my plane ticket if I book when sales are on.
As a blogger I tend to feel like I need to buy loads of make up and clothes to help create content on my blog. It's sad but true. I'm currently making a list of all of the things I would like to buy. I'm going to allow myself to buy two things a week. If I find other things I want to buy (like an impulse purchase) I'll add it to the list. A lot of the time when you end up getting to that item on the list, you realize that you didn't even want it in the first place. Simple way to get what you want but still have a few quid left over.

Other Goals

Here's a list of a few goals that I couldn't really make up categories for.
  • Stretch my ears to 20mm by Christmas. My ears are currently at 10mm. Easy enough goal.
  • Go busking more. I forgot how much I love singing for people. Plus, it's a few extra euro a week.
  • Actively try for a better social life. They don't just happen you know!
  • Overall, be more outgoing. Step outside my comfort zone. Try new make up looks, clothing and hair style, do things I never dreamt of doing.
  • Get a new Passport. Honestly, this should be on the top of my list. I want to see the world. This is an absolute MUST this year!
Obviously none of these had to do with blogging. I have my plans though. All of you will just have to wait and see!
