Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette || Blogmas

Hello people of the internet! I'll be honest with you... When I heard that there was going to be a collaberation between Gwen Stefani and Urban Decay I nearly lost my mind! Then, when I saw the eyeshadows I wasn't too pushed. Finally, I came back around and fell in love with it. Imagine my surprise when I came back from Limerick to find this on my bed. I haven't had time to play around with it just yet. But, I decided to do a first impressions post!

I love the packaging! The contrast between the black, white, and gold plating is beautiful.

I figured out why I wasn't too into the palette at first. (this is a weird reason) I don't like the placement of the eyeshadows. The colors clash and it gave me a bad visual for the overall palette. When I look at each shadow individually though, I am mesmerized.

Bottom Row

As always these eyeshadows are extremely pigmented. So far my favorites are: 1987, Punk, Baby, and Danger! I find that a few of them had a bit of fall out. Like, Blackout and Pop. That's not the worst thing ever though, is it? Blackout is possibly the blackest black I've ever used. I can only imagine how blendable these shadows are. When I was swatching them I noticed how incredibly soft they were. From what I can tell they're quite long lasting. I was using my trusty makeup remover in between swatches and it was a pain to take off. Which is a good thing. You wouldn't want the makeup you just put on to come off in two seconds.

Overall, I think I'm sold on it! I think it has an amazing selection of neutrals, mattes, shimmers, and pops of color. The best part is; the bright colors are very wearable! Hopefully, I'll be doing some makeup looks with this palette this week. I'll keep you all updated!

The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette is available in Debenhams for €46 now!

  5. I have this palette and it's become a new favourite! The only downside I think there's too many mid toned neutrals and not enough darks, if it would have had a couple more darker browns it would be perfect :) x

  11. That's why I don't want this palette. The placement throws me off so much, and it's just not visually appealing to me at all. I'm sure if I go to Sephora and swatch, I'll think differently, but I can't have this palette in my collection with it being arranged like that for some reason.
