Snow Day
Tuesday, January 13, 2015
Hello people of the internet! Hope you've all been doing well. Sorry that I've sort of been on a hiatus as of late. Partially because I'm sick and also because I'm not feeling 100% motivated or inspired. It sucks but I'm hoping it'll pass. Anyways, it snowed today!! It snowed a little this morning but nothing was sticking. Then (while I was napping), it happened again! My brother's told me they didn't want to bother me by waking me up. I was so mad. Apparently, we had a proper flurry and everything.
An hour later, the sky turned this amazing silver color and it started hailing. Slowly the hail turned into huge fluffy snowflakes. I started running around the house with a huge dorky smile on my face. It pretty much never snows in Ireland. You can probably tell by how green the grass is! I made myself a nice cup of hot chocolate, grabbed my camera, and headed outside.
I seemed to have forgotten that snow = cold and wet. I went outside in my pj's and an old holy pair of runners. My feet were immediately soaking wet but I stayed out in it for a good 20 minutes. I spent the next 45 minutes sat in front of a window with my hot chocolate hoping it wouldn't stop. I felt like a little kid again! Eventually, the clouds started rolling away and leaving behind a bright blue sky. The snow has stuck though! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a little bit more tonight.
How has the weather been where you live?
Has it snowed much?
