Wet n wild in white text on a purple background

Hello people of the internet! I feel like I should start this post by giving a huge shout out to everyone who voted and made Same -sex marriage legal this weekend. Unfortunately, I can't vote because I'm American. You guys are truly heroes. Thank you for doing your part of being a citizen and making Ireland a happier, more equal country! Anyways, it's been a while, huh? I've been feeling like a terrible blogger lately. I think this will be my fourth post this month? Life has (once again) gotten in the way. I was in Dublin for a few days this week and before that Galway. Now, I'm battling one of my signature chest infections. I have so much to share with you though! During my time in Dublin I was lucky enough to go to the Wet'n'Wild summer launch. To say the least, it was AMAZING! I was a little nervous since it was my first press event but I had the wonderful Grace from Longhairandlashes and the lovely Jess from JesskaDenise to help calm my nerves!

The event was on during the first day I was in Dublin. So, it's safe to say I had a pretty damn long day. Dan and I were up before the sun to make sure we were in Dub-land by 11am. Dan was showing off a game or two at State Of Play in DIT that day. I'm honestly so proud of him. It was so cool to watch total strangers playing games that he's spent hours, upon hours creating. I hung out with Dan for a while and helped him set up. Around 1 o'clock I realized that I didn't have any wifi. I slowly started panicking because I needed to meet Grace at half four! Dan and I decided to get lunch before I left. I pretty much freaked out when I found a Krüst bakery near by. I had the most amazing turkey and avocado sandwich *drools*. At 3:00 I decided to go on a bit of a wander to find some wifi.

After a bit of wandering around I decided McDonald's was probably my best bet. I grabbed a coffee and proceeded to be super class and put my fake nails on in McDonald's, again. Finally, I met up with Grace and we headed to Starbucks to charge her phone. It was so nice to see her again. We eventually headed over to O'Connell Street to meet up with Jess. I had never met her before but, oh my god she was so lovely! We all decided to get the Luas instead of a taxi or a bus. Not going to lie, I was a bit worried. I've never used the Luas before and I've only ever heard horror stories about it. We got on and it  very quickly filled up. Thanks to a lovely lady, we got off at the right stop. Just as we thought we were going in the right direction we would get lost. DAMN YOU GOOGLE MAPS! Finally, after a long enough search we found the venue.

We climbed up the stairs and were instantly greeted with multicolored lights, cupcakes, and good music. My only problem with the whole event was the heat. I felt like my face was melting off. Luckily, they were supplying slush puppies! After I cooled down, I went over to swatch some make up. The one thing I was hoping that the Summer collection would bring was an orange lipstick. My god, did they deliver. 24 Carrot Gold is possibly the most amazing matte orange lipstick I could have asked for. It's on the top of my must purchase list. I'm also super excited to try the Mega Liner in Turquoise, the Color Icon Brown Shaper in A Clear Conscience, and the Mega Slicks Balm Stain in Caffeine Fix. I'll be doing a full Wet n Wild wishlist post soon!

Wide selection of Wet n Wild summer collection

The event was absolutely amazing! I've been using Wet n Wild since I lived back in America and it's one of my favorite brands. I'm so happy that I was included in this event! We got so many amazing goodies to take home as well. I was thinking of doing little tutorials featuring the products! What do you guys think? Also, do you guys like that I've been making my posts longer?  I've been trying to do more long posts with a mix of short ones lately.

The new collection is currently rolling out to stores now and should be on the shelf by June!

  1. I really like Wet n Wild too, as they're cruelty-free and have some vegan products. But I have the hardest time tracking down new LE collections! I really wanted to check out the spring Silver Lake one, but can find it nowhere. I saw a few items from the summer collection at a Walgreens and the next time I was in they were all gone. Of course you can find them on eBay, but the price is quite marked up, which kinda defeats the purpose of affordable drugstore make-up. I'd love to see reviews of the new products :o)

And yes, kudos to Ireland for moving into the 21st century with marriage equality. Hopefully their draconian abortion laws will be the next to change.
