July Goals

Note books on a blank background

Hello people of the internet! I cannot (more like, I refuse to) believe it's the 1st of July already. I feel like only yesterday it was the start of February and I was just getting my shit together. Well, turns out I'm way behind on the things I want to have done by the end of 2015. I've decided this is the month I put the pedal to the metal and get some work done. I spent all day yesterday thinking of what I want to accomplish in July. Here's a couple of things on my list!

The Idea Room's Photo A Day Challenge

Photo-A-Day Challenge - Last month I was dealing with a lot of creative block. It was driving me insane! I decided that this month (and hopefully for a few months after) I'll join in The Idea Room's photo a day challenge! I've also decided to take all of the pictures with my camera and not my phone. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with the challenge. I'll also be doing a weekly round up of the pictures here on my blog, every Saturday!

Posting more - Due to that creative block last month,I didn't post much. This month is going to be a complete 180! I'll be back to posting at least 3 times a week! I'm thinking of bringing back my Sunday Morning feature too. Hopefully, I'll reach my goal of 100 posts by my birthday (August 11th). I'm only 18 posts away now.

No more meat or milk - Okay, a lot of you know if you follow me on twitter that I have officially been vegetarian for the last month now. I've had a couple slip-ups because I forgot to read packaging and I also just wanted one (or ten) flippn toasted marshmallow(s) while camping. I'm really happy with how it's been going. I don't feel bloated any more and I don't feel a lot of gurgles in my tummy either. Now, I might be lactose intolerant. And by might, I mean - milk hates me. That's okay though because I hate milk too. I would never just have a glass anyways. YUCK! Cheese, yogurt, and (for the most part) ice cream do not bother my stomach. Milk on the other hand makes me feel like I've been poisoned. So, I'm officially giving it up. Only rice or almond milk from now on!

Practice Swedish everyday - I've recently started learning Swedish! One of my goals in life is to move to Sweden for even just a year. Last month my friend showed me this amazing app Duolingo. I found it so easy to just jump head first into learning a second language. I'm so proud of how much I already know after a week. I'm already able to write out full sentences, umlauts and all! I'm pretty sure if I stick to my 15 minutes of practice a day I'll be flying by the end of the month!

These are just a couple of things from a pretty long list! Like, you guys do not want to see my to-do list this month! I have my hands pretty full with Dan's 23rd birthday coming up and more planning for the RT Ireland Summer Event! Exciting times at Cardigan Jezebel HQ!

What are some of your goals this month?

  1. Thank you for mentioning the Duolingo app! I've been looking for one to top up my German as I haven't done it since secondary school so this is going to help me loads! Thank you! :D

  2. This is such a good list! I used to use Duolingo a while back but I stopped, this has reminded me to get back into it. I love that you're learning Swedish! xx
