*Lunch At The Clarion || Blogmas

Sunday, December 04, 2016

Hello people of the internet! Because of blogging, I sometimes get to do cool things. And if I'm extra lucky I get to bring Dan with me! Two weeks ago we were invited to the *Clarion Hotel (soon to be the Clayton Hotel Cork City) in Cork for lunch! We went during Jazz Weekend and there was a fantastic buzz in Kudos (The restaurant/bar in the Clarion).

We sat in a very open area by the stairs. It's honestly my favorite part of the Clarion because of the insanely high, glass ceilings. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive and had our starters out to us in no time at all.

Dan and I both picked the Buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing. This was a total gamble for me. I'm not a huge fan of spicy food. I mainly dislike food that is spicy for the sake of it and is just heat with no flavor. These wings were the exact opposite of that. They were spicy, don't get me wrong. But, it was enjoyable and the sauce on the wings had an amazing flavor.

For our main course, we both went for the 6oz burger and chips. The burger is topped with a tomato relish, bacon, and cheese. Let me start by saying this, it was huge! The burgers were spectacular. Not the least bit dry or too greasy. Also, the fries were just as amazing as they look in the picture. Trust me!

Our waitress was amazing and everything was brought out with great timing. But, we never felt like we were being rushed to leave or anything. I'm not surprised that the service was so amazing in the Clarion. Every time I've ever been there, even for coffee I've had a wonderful experience.

Thanks so much to the Clarion for inviting us to lunch!
