Primark Lip kit in the shade chocolate brownie review

Hello people of the internet! Thanks to Kylie Jenner lip kits have been all the rage for a few years now. Naturally, other businesses try to get in on the action. Primark (or Penneys here in Ireland) are finally hopping on the bandwagon. Currently they have two lip kits out. One in the shade Cookie Dough and the one pictured above, Chocolate Brownie. I saw both of them on Primark's social media and I pretty much couldn't wait to go to my local store to grab one.

In this €4.00 lip kit you get a lip liner and a matte liquid lipstick. I pictured Chocolate brownie because I prefer darker colours. Cookie Dough is a more pink based, light nude. Chocolate brownies is a cool toned, brown nude.

The formula was surprisingly amazing. It wasn't too watery and it wasn't an awkward moussey texture either. The application wasn't patchy. Which is amazing for a darker colour! It dried within a minute with out making lips feel dried and cracked. I also made sure to exfoliate my lips before. That way there was no dead skin for the lipstick to cling to.

Wearing this all day was a delight. I often forgot I was even wearing it. I did have to touch it up later on in the day (After a few coffees). But, I didn't even have to take all of the lip colour off to reapply. I just slapped on another coat. It didn't get cakey or anything!

If I had to compare it a Kylie Jenner Lip Kit shade I would definitely say it's most like True Brown K. Like I said before, it has more cool undertones to it as well.

For only €4.00 I would recommend the new Primark lip kit over, and over, and over again! It's comfortable, reliable, and truly amazing!

Would you ever try one of these Lip Kits?

  1. I've never tried any of the makeup from Primark because I was worried that the quality wouldn't be that amazing, but it sounds pretty good from what you're saying!! Might have to give it a go!

  2. I'm loving how drugstores are coming out with lip kits now! I recently picked up a Barry M one which I think is such a great dupe for the Kylie cosmetics, but I'd be interested in trying out the primark ones, especially because I actually really like Primark's lip liners! xx

  3. I've never had a go with Primark make up but they sound like a contender from what you've found with their lip kits. I'm not too keen on the colours they have stocked at the mo so may hold out for something 'more me'

  4. I've been wondering what these were like, especially as they're so cheap. I'll definitely pick them up next time I'm in Primark

  5. I tried out the Primark Lip Liners and absolutely loved them so will definitely be checking these out, hopefully they release more shades too

  6. Hey girl ! :D
I live in France so I kind of get the feeling that our Primark stores are understocked when it comes to makeup. Maybe that's just an impression ! ^^
Anyway, I went to the closest Primark yesterday and found those two Lip Kits - only got Chocolate Brownie as it looked exactly like the kind of cool-toned brown (almost greige) I love to wear !
Heck!, I'm even wearing it right now to try out for my blog post later and I love this "not-wearing-anything" feeling ! :D I did have to reapply after lunch because I ate a kind of oily soup and there was like, nothing left on my lips ! It's so easy to reapply and so comfy to wear !
    I love it !

I highly recommend you get their lip liners too as well as their kissproof liquid matte lipsticks, they're worthwhile !

Have a nice day girl !
