Free Blogging Resources
Monday, February 27, 2017Hello people of the internet! This post is a big one.... It's my 300th blog post! I can't believe it. In just under three years I've written 300 of these things. Today I want to share some of the knowledge I've obtained. Blogging can be hard. Whether it's your first few posts or somewhere closer to your two hundredth. There are a lot of free resources out there to help you with everything from HTML, design, or just post ideas! Here are some of my favorites!
Unsplash - This site is full of license free (do whatever you want) and high res images. I like to use it for header images for my blog posts. Also, it's great for inspiration!
*Creative Market - Creative Market is one of my favorite sites. I honestly can't even remember how I stumbled across it. Each week they put up 6 freebies. These freebies range from fonts, templates, patterns, vectors, and brushes. I actually have an alarm set on my phone for when the newest freebies go up. I use every single one of them. You can also buy items from the site.
XO Misse - If this site didn't exist I wouldn't have my website. There is a multitude of coding and HTML tutorials that are easy for people who don't have any experience in this field. I've been using these tutorials since I created my website. Anytime I feel like changing it, this is the first place I go. They also offer consultations and blogger templates in their shop.
Carrie Loves - You know how I have social media icons on the side of my blog and at the end of every blog post? This is where I got them from. On Carrie Loves there is a ton of different colors and even glitter versions!
Pineapple & Prosecco - They have an amazing Blogging resource library. You just have to sign up for their mailing list. And trust me, you want to!
Vecteezy - Another one for all of my design-loving bloggers out there. You can download tons of free vector images here!
Angie Makes - Free fonts, backgrounds, watercolour swatches, brushes, and patterns.
Grammarly - I'm using this right now. It's a free application for chrome and it does what it says on the tin. It's a free grammar checker. Not just for spelling!
Blog Pixie - A blog dedicated to beautiful and girlie blogging and branding tips!
Pinterest - Last but not least! I find Pinterest to be the number one place to find anything and everything that you might be looking for. And pretty much every blogger has a board dedicated to all things blogging.
I really hope you found this post helpful! I love doing things like this. I definitely haven't done nearly enough in my blogging career. That's totally going to change! Also, a friendly reminder that most of these sites create free content for personal use. If you're going to use it for commercial use, please purchase a license! We're very lucky to have creative people in this world creating free content all of the time. So if there is something you like, buy it! If it's free and you use it, give a link back!
* = This is an affiliate link. If you buy something using this link I will make a small earning!
