Top 10: Travel Essentials
Wednesday, August 19, 2015Hello people of the internet! I'm heading back up to Dublin on Friday morning and I wanted to share my top 10 travel essentials with you! Now, these aren't makeup or fashion related. Just things that I absolutely need in my bag whenever I go somewhere for a few days.
- Power Block - I won a hamper at the first ITWBN event in February and in that hamper was a power block. This thing has saved my ass on multiple occasions now. I also make sure it's charged and in my travel bag. You never know when you're going to need it!
- Camera - I always have my Nikon Coolpix l820 with me. When you're traveling you want to make sure to capture everything.
- Music/Entertainment - The bus to Dublin takes three hours. I always make sure that I have a decent amount of music at the ready. Or, I have plenty of Rooster Teeth podcasts. They're my favorite things to listen to on a long journey!
- SD Cards - Not one but, two SD cards! You never know if you'll fill up one, lose it, or it might break. It's always better to have a spare just in case!
- Headphones - How are you going to listen to your music/podcast/audio book with out them? It's actually embarrassing how many times I've left them at home.
- Lip Balm - No matter where I go I need to have a good lip balm with me. (I recommend Carmex)
- Hair Tie - At some point of every trip, I give up on my hair. I throw it up in a messy bun and give myself a break.
- Bobby Pins - Easiest way to fix fly away hairs and it helps if you're throwing your hair up with your hair tie!
- Dry Shampoo - I use either a dry shampoo or a plumping spray. Depending on the length of your trip this can be a total secret weapon. It's also great if you go to your hotel and realize the bathrooms aren't up to par and end up taking a wet wipe bath (true story).
- Body Butter - My skin gets so dry! I love having a super thick body butter in my bag to give my skin a great little pick me up!

Do you have any power block recommendations? I'm in the market because I'll be traveling to Manchester for a blogger event soon! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely tips. Especially number four. I found myself in the middle of New York City this summer purchasing a (way overly priced) SD card when the one I had brought decided to kick the bucket!
