I'm Opening An Etsy Shop + How You Can Help

Hello people of the internet! You read that right, I'm planning on opening an Etsy shop! Last year I opened one and due to unforeseen circumstances, it had to close. Aka - my passport was expired and that was my only form of ID so Etsy closed my shop. Well, ya girl has a new passport and a head full of ideas! Today I want to chat with you about some of those ideas and how you can help make it a reality!

The Idea

If you've been following me for a while you'll know that I created a lot of free prints and lock screen wallpapers for you all. That's one of the things I want to keep doing. But, I also want to create more digital downloads as well as physical prints. The main thing I want to bring to my Etsy shop is greeting cards! In my house, we don't really buy cards. It's always been tradition to make cards for people's birthdays, anniversaries, valentine's day, etc. Something clicked in my head last week when I started using my drawing tablet again. I was drawing up ideas for Dan's Valentine's Day card and then I decided to get it printed in Boots! I loved seeing my design in physical form. (Although - all tea, all shade - the boots cards aren't really good quality.) I posted the card on Instagram and people really seemed to like the style and the idea. I feel like I was hit by a ton of bricks. In a good way. Like, I found my calling all of a sudden!

How You Can Help

Making these cards isn't something that's going to be easy or cheap. And, by cheap I mean I don't have about €200 to just shell out in one go to get samples, stock, packaging, etc. So, I created two campaigns on MerchT. Which some of you might remember from when I ran a t-shirt campaign during the push to repeal the 8th last year. Both of the campaigns are for tote bags. There are two designs and they both come in 9 different colours.

If you don't know how MerchT works let me fill you in! Basically the campaigns run for a set amount of time (I picked 10 days) and you have to sell at least 10 of the items for them to go to print. When you place your order, the money doesn't go out of your account until after the campaign ends. After it ends and everything ships I get paid. I don't make the full amount that you're paying. For the tote bags, in particular, I'll be making around €5 a bag!

You can buy the "Full Of Crap" tote here

And, You can buy the "There Is Way Too Much Stuff In Here" tote here

Another way you can help me out is by donating to my PayPal pool! If you want to donate to it click here!

At the end of the day, you all don't need to buy anything or donate anything at all. I just know some of you like to help and I figured I'd give you some ways to do that! This is something I'm dying to do. In the grand scheme of things, I would love to move into doing more stationery items as well. I feel like this is my year to be creative and to share that with the world. So, regardless I will be opening up my Etsy shop soon. Even if it's just with digital prints!
