Starting A Scrapbook

Hello people of the internet! When I was younger my mom and I always used to make scrapbooks. It was one of my favorite things to do. There were so many cute stickers, inserts, paper... This might be why I'm addicted to stationery products now come to think of it! A huge part of why I wanted to start scrapbooking again is to have my favorite photos in one place. I know that I have most of them on my phone or my laptop. But, it's not the same as having a bunch of printed photos.

Some things you'll need for starting your very own scrapbook

A book - You can use your bullet journal, a sketchbook, or a notebook! Just a book full of blank pages!

Tons of stuff to decorate with - I have washi tape, some scrapbook inserts from local craft stores, stickers from Sostrene Greene, and stickers from my Ban.do agenda!

Writing Utensils - Luckily, I have a ton of markers and pens that I use for my bullet journal!

*And of course, Photos! - You can get your pictures printed pretty much anywhere. But, I worked with the lovely site Printiki to get my photos printed! Printiki was lovely enough to let me get 30 "M" prints. I went for the retro border aka Polaroid style and a matte finish! I'm so happy with the quality of them as well. They're perfect for scrapbooking or even just a present! With the retro frames, you can also add text to the bottom of the photo to personalise them.

All you really need to do to start a scrapbook is patience and some free time. I love just spending a Sunday working on how I want to layout each page and writing down all of our memories. There is something so satisfying about actually doing something with all of the photos I take. If you're interested in using Printiki, you can get *free shipping by using my code:

*if you use this code I will get credit to my own account. Like, an affiliate code!*

I'm pretty sure my prints only took 3 days to arrive. Honestly, I haven't been able to stop showing people them either! I think I forgot how nice it was to get your photos developed and just look through them.... I might be old now!

Anyways, I think I'll be documenting my scrapbooking journey on my blog from now on! Would you guys be interested in that? Also, huge thank you to Printiki for letting me

  2. I love scrapbooks! I have been a fan since I was a kid and I found a scrapbook in a cupboard in my house that my older brother had made when he was a teenager. After that I made several little scrapbooks, cutting things out of magazines and sticking in cool tags from clothing and cards that I got from family and friends. I made my first proper scrapbook in my final year of university though, to document all my uni memories and photos of me and my friends. I love this scrapbook and really like that it's like a photo album but better with memories and captions and cute stationery bits and pieces. I can look back at it forever now :) I'm definitely going to check out Printiki, I'm after some polaroid style prints for a DIY project I have in mind x
